A problem well defined is half solved

A quote has been banging around in my head for a week now:

A problem well defined is half solved.

Genius.

So often you might be tempted to find a fix without first understanding the problem and then waste a lot of time solving the wrong problem.

Make sure to clearly state the problem simply (which is what Einstein says is the hardest thing to do) and then get stuck in on some solutions brainstorming.
