When designing, do you dictate or collaborate?

When designing, do you dictate or collaborate? The path you choose determines your success. You get so much more out of collaboration.

You get so much more out of collaboration. For one, you get many different ideas from which to pick, and for another you can mix and match the best ideas to come up with a great design.

Don’t forget to research it with your users, they are part of the design team, after all.

Being a design dictator means you’re trying to control the outcome while going it alone. A lonely proposition that is destined to not end well.

When you’re a design dictator, you can’t share the credit – your ego won’t allow it.

Collaborate, share the credit, and watch everyone on your team feel inspired to contribute.
