I gave a talk last week about Using Code as a Design tool, and the feedback and discussions that came out of it were amazing. One great question I got, and had not considered, is how can a new designer use code as a design tool?
It took about 3-4 weeks of preparation but the result was well worth it. Speaking at UX ChCh was great fun and great discussions came out of it, using code as a design tool.
The why is more important, and more powerful than the how. In design it helps us uncover the key to a problem and moves us from discovery to action. The why gives the design a reason for being.
To succeed as a UX designer, be aware of your surroundings and the tech that you’re designing for. Understand your technological environment to design for users.
